Understanding Cohesion online learning module

Part of our integrated Cohesion learning programme this free short online course introduces the concept of cohesion by presenting a number of different definitions and case studies of cohesion in practice.

The course is reflective and considers the skills and competencies needed to bring about more cohesive communities, and therefore builds naturally from the Cohesion Navigator that learners are encouraged to do before starting the online course.

Following completion of Understanding Cohesion, you will be signposted to the one day Creating Cohesive Communities workshop, which helps you to consider how yoor role fits with practitioners with different backgrounds.

  • Identify cohesion challenges in communities
  • Consider the skills and competencies needed to create more cohesive communities
  • Critically review and assess different cohesion case studies
  • Develop an individual action plan
