New HCA Academy committee to help transform skills and knowledge for places

20 April 2009

We've appointed five committee members to assist the organisation to build the skills, knowledge and capacity of HCA and its delivery partners.

The committee will work alongside the Academy’s Chair, Professor Peter Roberts, and Gill Taylor, the Academy’s Chief Executive, who were previously Chair and Chief Executive respectively of the Academy for Sustainable Communities.

The new committee members are: Rebecca Bennett Casserly; Lynne Ceeney; Peter Hetherington; Mushtaq Khan; and Deborah Lamb.

Professor Peter Roberts said:
I am delighted that the Academy has been able to attract such a talented and committed group of people. Following an extensive recruitment exercise, we have been able to appoint a committee that reflects the full span of sectors and regional interests. The members of the committee have a range of generic and professional skills, and share a common desire to bring about a transformation in the delivery of better skills and knowledge for places. I look forward to working with my new colleagues in order to help transform the local and regional communities that we serve.”
